Step1
Run a virus scan before running Setup.
Insert the CD for the SWASTIK GOLD Pack into the CD-ROM Drive of your computer, or into the CD-ROM Drive of another computer of the Network. Run the Application 'SwastikSetup.exe' file. A Progress Bar is displayed on the screen conveying that the SWASTIK GOLD Setup is preparing the installation.
Step2
A Welcome (to the SWASTIK GOLD Setup) screen appears. Read it carefully, and choose the Next button to continue the installation of SWASTIK GOLD on your machine.
Step3
The System would, now, display the default Destination Directory for installing SWASTIK GOLD . The default Directory of installation is ' C:\PROGRAM FILES\SWASTIK\'.
If you wish to change the Directory, then choose the Browse button to specify the Drive and Directory in which you like to install SWASTIK GOLD . The Path is displayed as soon as you select the Drive and Directory.
Step4
Choose the OK button, and then, choose the Next button to proceed for the remaining of the installation procedure.
Step5
The System will, then, ask you to select the Program Folder. Setup will add Program icons to the Program Folders listed. You may also select an existing Folder to add the Program icon there. Choose the Next button to continue.
Step6
Setup will, now, intimate you that it has sufficient information to start copying the SWASTIK GOLD Files. It displays the Current Settings. If you wish to change the same, you may choose the Back button to make modifications in the preceding screens. Alternatively, you may choose the Next button to initiate the copying operation.
Step7
In the 'Setup Complete' screen that follows; choose the Finish button to complete the successful installation of SWASTIK GOLD.
Step8
Reboot your machine to resume your work.
Imp Note
- It is strongly recommended that you should exit all the Windows Programs before running the Setup Program.
- You must have SQL 2000 Server / SQL Personal Edition software installed in your system in case of Multi User.
- In Case of Single User, you must have SQL 2000 Personal Edition or SQL 2000 Server Engine installed in your system.
- Your date format / Time Format / Number format should be attached system requirement file.
- Your SQL server must be running on server and it should be in green color arrow.
- There is no need to provide your any rights (Read / write / delete of any drive (except CDROM) of server to any user. Local drive of server should not be sharing mode.
In do you have two drives or partition in you Local hard drive then install software in other than operating system drive. Suppose your windows in installed in Drive " C:" then install software in drive "D".
Now start SWASTIK GOLD
After successful installation of SWASTIK GOLD . You will get Swastik Icon in your computer desktop. You may double click C:\program files\Swastik Gold\swastik.exe file also. If you have installed Swastik in another folder then you have to run Swastik.exe from that folder.
Now After double click you will get an option of Database Information.
Here are four fields in that menu
1. Data Base Server Name
2. Database User Name
3. Database Server Password
4. Multiple Server
In Your desktop taskbar option SQL Server service manager must be loaded. In it will look like this in taskbar - startup properties. How to install Sql Server and load Sql Server Service Manager in startup, please refer to installation procedure mentioned in Sql Server user guide.
